Newbie question about showing.

This is one of the first of MANY questions I will have regarding showing chickens, I have shown horses for decades haha but never a chicken. I was also wondering, are Icelandic chickens recognized to show in Canada? I cannot seem to find much info on showing them. I have a small flock of Iceys that I am starting to raise and would like to be able to show if I could. I live in British Columbia, Canada.

To my knowledge, if it is a recognized breed, it is recognized in the show world. To be safe, I would contact the show board and ask for a list of breeds they approve of at the show. Hopefully, that helps! I can be helpful in the 4-H/FFA/Grange show world so shoot any questions you have at me!
