Newbie question: Is my chicken a rooster?

My two chickens are about 5 months old and one is beginning to crow a little bit.

What should I be looking for to figure out if one of my chickens is a rooster and not a hen?

The feathers at the base of the tail on the birds back will start looking longer and pointed and make sort of a watterfall like appearance. The comb and wattles will be larger and more pronounced. In some breeds the legs will be thicker and more masculine. Also the neck feathers will be more slender and thicker. Tail carriage is normally higher and the feathers are generally longer.
