Newbie question!!!Will a rooster be mean to ducks

I have two Cayuga drakes that are the sweetest guys ever that were given to me as pets of course. I’m acquiring a Rhode Island Red rooster who is 2 years old to start my flock with anyways he will be the only chicken until the pullers are big enough for the coop. My question is do you think the rooster will attack or be mean to my drakes? Being as he will be the only chicken. Also he has been raised with three other roosters and others if that helps? Thanks in advance

Every rooster is different. All you can do is try and see how it goes. Here my muscovy ducks rule over the chickens, and will poke and tug any chicken that doesn't move.

That’s kind of what my thinking was I’ve had chickens throughout my life but this is the first set of ducks (the wife’s feathered babies) lol didn’t want to get a rooster right off the bat but a good friend at work has them and needs to get rid of them so I’m gonna try it with the ducks until the biddys are big enough for the flock.

Update: they seem to be doing alright so far Phil and Si (the ducks) seem to be the rulers of the roost no fights or anything yet though fingers crossed.
