What does it mean when they are "game"?? I have someone who's selling her pullets and she says they are "buff game hens"..... I don't know what that means.

I'm sure they can be it depends on what breed.
As for your post of a "buff game hens" I am sure you could get a Buff color in any of the breeds I listed.
You might want to ask what breed of game hen they are selling..

They are more for show now a days..
At one time most "game" breeds where used for fighting...
Most of the hens make great mothers and great layer...
The rooster are very protective of there hens..
