I'm the new guy for a little while. Live in SW Middle Tennessee on the TN River, not a long way from MS or AL. I've raised chickens off and on since I was a 12 and I'm now middle 70s. Still got lots to learn, however. Presently, I've only got 10 red sex link pullets that I bought about a month ago from an Amish fellow near Lawrenceburg, TN (I got too lazy to do the hatch/brood thing this time). Half of these beauties have already started laying. My better half and I keep rabbits now, too. I've only recently started using my 'puter again so I'm just getting regestered on BYC-- look forward to lots of reading. The best to you all, obrowns

Hi and welcome to BYC - great that you have joined us. It seems like you have more than the average number of years under your belt in terms of raising chickens, and I'm sure that we will all benefit from your experience and input. With almost 450,000 members from all over the world, you may also find some interesting insights into how people from other continents do things - all adds to the learning pot. There's at least one thread on keeping rabbits - so maybe your better half should also get onboard.

I hope you enjoy being a member of BYC, like the rest of us.

Best wishes
CT
