Newbie to show lambs! Need info!

I am looking into showing lambs for FFA or 4h. I have shown cows and now im going to show a lamb.. The thing is, i dont know much about them! I have looked up info but there just isn't enough. I am also going to keep the lamb in my back yard (call me crazy but hey, you can keep goats so why not a sheep) which is about an acre. I just need anything i can get about showing sheep, and i also wanted to know if that sounded crazy, because i was embarrassed to ask my FFA advisor because i dont want it to sound crazy keeping it in my backyard

When I first started with my chickens my Nana got me this book called Your Chickens A Kids Guide To Raising and Showing and they have an entire series about goats, sheep, cows, horses and rabbits. I am sure if you go onn amazon and look up in the books category Your Sheep by Gail Damerow it might help Hope this helps
