hello all,
newbie here in jacksonville. have had my chickens {3 astralorps, 3 RI reds, 3 white leghorns, 3 red stars} since august and buddy are they starting to lay now.... 8 hens {some roosters gotta go...} and we are getting 6 or 7 eggs a day, double yolks not uncommon.
i have been reading BYC since summer for info but thought it was time to join.

from Onslow ,NC too. Live just outside Maysville. I'm also new, but I have only one Barred Rock rooster so far. It wandered in my yard and wont leave, so I decided to keep him.
