Hello all, My name is Jamie and I pick up some chicks in April of this year. I did a little research about chickens before hand but really had no idea what I was getting into. I knew I had 8 chicks, 3 were new hampshire reds, 3 are barred rocks and 2 are americanaus. I would even take my new chicks with me to work to keep em warm(Didn't trust leavin em at the house with the lamp on unattended). I guess im doin ok with em cuz none have been sick or died on me. About 2 weeks ago I got my first eggs and Im very excited about that. This site has been very helpful to me and Im glad I found a good group of knowledgeable people.
