Hello all! I'm a long time lurker of the boards. I'm located in West Tn. Right now we have 6 mixed bantams, a RIR rooster, a sumatra hen, a BR hen, and two mixed breed hens (one crested and one rumpless) along with 10 EE pullets and 4 silver laced wyandotte pullets in the brooder. Chickens are my thing. I was raised with a backyard full of them and just recently convinced my husband that we should have some, too. He thinks I'm a little obssessed with my "babies" and he is probably right. Lol. I just can't seem to help myself.

Welcome to BYC. Glad you decided to join our flock. A lot of us were lurkers before joining.) You have a nice mix of breeds. Easter Eggers are my granddaughter's (pictured in my avatar) favorites. She loves their colored eggs. Please feel free to ask any questions you may have. We are here to help in any way we can. Good luck with your flock.

Thank you! Easter eggers are my favorite, too. One of our bantys is a EE and is the sweetest chicken we own. That's why I decided to buy standard EE to add to our flock. I hope to eventually add a standard BCM also, since we have a bantam cuckoo maran that is also quiet nice, but I want to wait until the pullets are out of the brooder and our broody sumatra has hatched her chicks out before we expand any more.

Hi, welcome to BYC!

You have a nice mixed flock, and with all those EE's you should get a pretty egg basket. Good luck with your flock.

Nice to have you join us!

You're welcome, and good luck in getting your Black Copper Marans.

Thank you for joining the Backyard chickens flock - good members are the backbone of BYC. I see I don't need to bring up the "chickens are very addictive," warning.

We are a bunch of enablers here, no one will ever tell you, you have too many chickens. You are very welcome here.
