(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens? I am on my second try with backyard chickens! In total I have 17 and I have raised them since they were a day old!
(2) How many chickens do you have right now? 17!
(3) What breeds do you have? I have all sorts of breeds (so I can tell them and their eggs apart!)
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens? I love their little personalities and the relative ease of caring for them. The eggs are tasty as well.
(5) What are some of your other hobbies? Gardening, sports, concerts
My first question for the group: Would you identify this as a hen or rooster? We thought she was a hen until she recently started crowing and has become more aggressive towards the other girls. "Her" name is Bertha because she has been the biggest since the whole flock was about a week old. The is about 5 months old currently and started crowing in the last couple weeks. Thoughts?
