newbie with chicken law

I live in Plano TX,

All my life lived in urban areas. I wanted to raise chicken for fun about 100 to 200. My question is how far I have to go from Plano to raise chicken? Where in Texas law allows me to keep chicken?

Please don't laugh at my question.

Now with that said, you need to check the zoning of your area or county. Generally (IMO) if your in town, there's specific zoning laws that govern this. If your in a suburb, a HOA will try to get into your way. Further yet out into the country, it will probably be more lax. But you will have to check into the zoning laws of your state, county, and town to be sure. Most of the time, you can check into this online.
