I'm a city girl turned country gal living in the hills of West Virginia. We began raising chickens in the spring and they quickly became my "babies". Our family has 4 "poultry" chickens (these were given to us so we don't know exactly what they are), 7 Isa Brown and 2 Red Island Red roosters. Sadly, we lost 5, 2 Barred Rocks, 2 Isa Browns and 1 "poultry" to a predator. BackYard Chickens is my go to for information along with Pinterest.
Right now we are on the hunt for a larger coop. I'm looking to turn a shed into a coop due to cost.
