Hi All,
I am in Johannesburg, South Africa and we don't have any great local chicken forums/groups like this.
I started about 5 years ago with a few Boschveld chickens for their eggs and later got a few Malaysian gamers for their looks. They cross bred and now I have fairly large gamer cross Boschveld hens. I have just over 20 birds. I have also made a separate run for some quail and currently have 17 which I am hoping will start to lay soon. We don't eat our chickens but use the eggs for eating/baking etc. and pressies for family and friends.
