(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens? Yes very new to raising chickens. Got 8 girls in March. They are 3-4 years old.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now? I have 8 (3-4 year olds) and just adopted 3 (7 week old) chickens.
(3) What breeds do you have?
Bantams, Plymouth Rock, Legbar - I believe.
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens? Love the eggs but I'm finding I enjoy watching them and spending time in their pen.
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
I enjoy knitting, gardening and traveling.
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share. I've been married for almost 27 years (been together for 37). I have 3 wonderful sons and 2 dogs.
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
I just found this site researching roosting ideas. Happy to report I've found great ideas that I'm implementing into my coop!
