We haven’t gotten there yet. The coop will be quick and easy since we are using a structure already built on our property. Planning to work on both over the next few months. Should be ready to go right in time as they start outgrowing my temporary place for them. I will certainly be sharing pictures!
It always takes longer than you think! I converted a shed into a coop and it took over a month with me working on it 4 full days a week.
You will want them out of the temporary place and into the coop by the third week. They are very dusty and stinky!

DobieLover is right - they are adorable, but quickly get very dusty! Start work now on making that coop and run ready, and you will be so glad you did. Here is an article on coop ventilation that includes a lot of helpful links to different coop designs. And here is an article on predator proofing new and existing coops. You don't want to lose one of those adorable leghorns or other egglayer beauties to a raccoon or weasel!

You can find lots more articles on your own by using the ARTICLES button and browsing or by using the SEARCH button and then choosing ARTICLES from the results. Otherwise you get lost in forum discussions, which is interesting, but often less focused.
