Hey guys, new to BYC. Joined because I succumbed to chicken math several years ago. Started with a solid, well engineered plan (I thought). Ended up very quickly deciding what breeds I liked and/or didn't like for various reasons. Started collecting some rare breeds to in fact breed, however, have not been able to find great resources for genetic information. My goals are: mostly dual purpose, chill, pretty and rare! Love my Brahmas and Orpingtons but dabble in Bielefelders, Marans and colored layers, for all the purists, I'll call them EE or OE though some are true Ameracaunas but not Araucanas, and Silverudds as speckled green extras for fun! Looking forward to learning more from the people on here who paid more attention in biology and genetics than I apparently did. I'm located in the NE (USA)
