We live in Iowa and have had chickens for only one year. My son wants to show them at the county fair this summer. I have been hearing a lot about egg bound hens. I talk to a lady at the farm store and she told me you can feel the egg. I think I checked very chicken and didn't notice a thing. I'm really new to this project!!!

You don't need to check your hens unless they show signs of being egg bound. Symptoms: listlessness and they stop laying. Good luck with your hens and
