Hello fellow chicken lovers,

I live in central Illinois, and bought some silkie baby chicks in April. I have 21 silkies, and they are now 6 weeks old. I look forward to chatting and learning from you all.

Sounds like you have a lovely flock of silkies! I learned to love poultry in Illinois at my grandparents' farm. My grandma's favorite breed of chicken is the silkie. She had one once named Fluff whom she just adored!

Thank you all for the welcomes. My silkies are assorted. I have white, black, buff, blue, and splash. It is very nice to meet all of you. I hope you all have a wonderful Memorial Day:)
