Newbies

[Hen-laydy]

We are new to having chickens. So we jumped in with 4.
We have a horse barn that the previous owners converted a stall to a coup. We revised and increased security by laying mesh over dirt and securing on all walls.
Today we plan to cover with tarp, also stapled to wall and deep bed of pine shavings and leaves.
Any recommendations from those more experienced? We live in north central KY.
