This lil darling was born yesterday and is full of life. I popped him into the brooder tonight and noticed his foot closest in the picture. Its hard to get a shot but the toes aren't splayed out like the other foot its like one of his toes is not able to "splay" or has developed close to the other toe.

Im a newbie but I know feet are important...is this a problem in the long run or is there something I can do.
Hope someone can help, its a bit of a worry to me! :hit

You're at the right place. Your little one needs a shoe! They're easy to make, and made from stuff that's pretty cheap (or you may already have everything you need right there in the house!)

Here are two links that do a pretty darned good job of explaining how to fix your little keet up right as rain. And the little fella ought to be all better within a few days! The only thing is, knowing keets as I do, you may need to have a spot to separate him into, so the others don't try to eat the interesting little snack on his foot, LOL! :lau After all, they seem to think everything is something to kill and eat at that age! :gig

Thank you sooo much for this.:D This morning i made a very crude attempt at a shoe and have banded his legs closer together. Doing it alone was very hard but the little bub was patient with me. tonight when hubby comes home i will redo it with help.
The links seem to say up to 2 days wearing these will fix it....how will i know when they can be removed??
