I am a newbie and Love BYC I have 8 10 week old Welsummer & RIR mixes, 2 10 week old Barred Rocker & Welsummer mixes, 2 6 week old Cinnamon Queens, 2 5 week old Buff Orpingtons.

I just started fermenting feed last night and gave the wet mash to the 10 weeks olds this morning, they loved it! The Younger ones are hesitate about it.

I had a rat snake try to climb into the open window of my sunroom to get my little chicks the other day!

I am currently researching fermented feed, feeding them chicken egg shells as a calcium supplement, introducing the younger chicks to the older ones in the coop, and getting ready for nesting!

Oh and waiting to sex my backyard mutts so I can cull the Roosters for Dinner!
