Hi! I'm Jesse, and I currently have 5 hens and a rooster. I've worked on chicken farms most of my life (Tyson 'factory'-style chicken raising, mostly. So not quite caring for chickens. Mostly walking the houses and picking up eggs.), and after the houses got shut down, I decided to take some chickens in that needed a rescue and raise them properly. My chickens are pets more than anything else, with my rooster being the one I've had the longest, rescued after his brothers all died during a bad winter a couple years back in a pretty bad pen setup. I'm very new to personally caring for chickens, and I work off of a budget, but I'm hoping to give the chickens I do have a good home.
