This is our third year getting new chicks. We originally thought we'd get 5 Rhode Island Reds, then the next spring we decided to get 4 Black Australorp chicks. We lost one of the RIR chicks on the first night but the others grew up to be amazing layers, we recently lost 1 BA to a predator but the remaining 3 are doing great and get along well with the older girls. So here we are getting 3 more RIR chicks...Chicken math, am I right?
These three love their snuggle time, hopefully that doesn't change as they grow up. Our other girls come when called but aren't big on snuggles anymore.
