Hi everyone!
One of my hens hatched out 12 chicks this morning. When I was checking on them, i noticed one of them was stuck to the hen by a feather wrapped around its foot. The feather was cutting circulation off the foot and it was very swollen and the chick was being dragged by the hen. I carefully removed the chick from the hen and cut off the feather. The foot is still swollen and the chick is just dragging the whole leg. I’m concerned it’s broken from being attached to the hen. Is there anything I can do for the chick? So far I have separated it and given it egg yolk. It seems pretty strong and lively so far, just the problem with the leg. See pictures attached. It won’t let me post the video, but it just dangles and it won’t use it at all. i’ll keep trying to post the video. Thank you in advance!

Sorry that it took so long for someone to respond to your thread. How is the chick doing now? This seems to be a common problem when baby chicks get caught in the broody’s feathers.
