I have a newly hatched gosling. It took about 21 hours to hatch. It is about 2 hours old and not drying very fast. The humidity is at 75%, temp at 99.6. Can I open the incubator to feed it and give it water?

Sorry no-one answered sooner..I guess its dry by now...or out of the bator.

I usually get my ducklings out after about 2- 3 hours . I find they start to run amock and send all the other eggs flying if I dont. The little one may not be too intersted in food or water for a while after hatching - as they can live off the sustenance of the yolk that was absorbed before htaching for a day or two....But I always make food and water available to them once they are in the brooder.

That's ok. Thank you for your reply. I took it out after 3 hours, it is doing great!
