Thanks for posting this. After reading the first comment, including this gem: "Why should I let some limp-wristed liberal lefties demolish my property values so they can set up a hippie commune in my neighborhood," I know now who's REALLY responsible for the implosion of the housing market in this country.

Those durn chickens and hippies accomplished what the Commies couldn't.

I agree with the fact that if you decided to buy a house that doesn't allow chickens...and you want chickens...then you made a stupid move. We worked our butts off for years to leave CA, moved to AZ and looked for 9mths before finding property with enough room to take care of chickens properly. It may not be easy..but it CAN be done. It's not fair of me to think my next door suburban neighbor wants to hear my birds nor smell my coop. If people stopped and thought about those around them instead of thinking of themselves..we would not have these issues.

I live in town it is legal to have chickens in town. I do not think that my chickens lower the property value, the run down houses that no one takes care now that does. I can't believe some of those comments. I guess I am a hippie now.

my grand pa would be so happy since he raised me as a farm girl. sorry that was a rant. Just some of those comments made me really mad
