Hi everyone,
We've had chickens for over 7 years now, but we're entering a new phase in chicken raising. We're finally building a modified 4x8 shed to replace the sad little kit coop we had that required so many repairs over the years we've practically rebuilt the whole thing. We started with 4 Buff Orpington chickens, and still have one of the old girls from the original batch, and she's helped settle in the second batch (Australorps, this time). With a larger coop we may eventually expand to 8 chickens, which is the limit allowed in Fort Collins, CO.
Although I've been using the information gleaned from discussions here since before I got my first flock, I'm just now joining the forum because of the upcoming coop-building plans. Goodness, have I got a few questions, but I'll post those separately.
Best and blessing,
Danielle
