I will have eggs from this boy for sale next year. I also have a lavender silkie hen that I will be breeding to a black frizzle roo that has a lavender cochin mom.75 percent of the genetics on that pairing will be lavender. I hope to get lavender sizzles. I plan to sell more eggs than chicks next year.

anyone planning on being at the Chichester show tomorrow? i got the dh to agree to go with me to sell jams/jellies and some tye-dye t's!

he's bugging me to find homes for 2 cockerels and only keep one for breeding.

so...anyone interested in a frizzled bantam cochin X silke? hatched 5/27/09. he's been a sweet boy and could really use a good pet home. his toes are curled as i did not know how to fix them, but he is still quick and has adapted to walking on them quite well. he can still mount the girls but it is quite funny to see him try it. he may get along with other roos but he seems to want to be the dominant one. someone a little bigger than him might keep him in check.

i also have an 8 week old bantam cockerel-not sure on what his cross is but he looks to be some sort of mix with a cochin. he's mostly black with spots of red/golden starting to show up on his back. hatched 9/1/09.
