NH red chick? Thinking boy...

Two weeks old but this Barred wing pattern and pointy feathers and no tail feathers yet say boy to me. (These are a friend’s chicks we are “babysitting” this weekend). I know it’s young, but guesses?

Well of course it’s too young. I have a good track record of guessing all of my roosters at 3-4 weeks though. It’s fun to guess

I would guess cockerel. I have one that's 6weeks now and could have been the twin to yours at that age.

None of those things point to cockerel. The only definite things are the comb/wattles and male feathering. (which comes in at around 12 weeks.) it's still too young to be developing larger, more red comb/wattles, (if it was male). Post new pics at about 6 weeks please.
