I started out my ducks on Chick stater because that was all I could find. I added niacin to their water and I have brewers yeast to add to their food. I was able to find Purina Duck Grower at a local feed store and when they got old enough I tried to switch them over to it. They didn't like it at all and refused to eat it. I don't know if it was a crumble to pellet thing or a taste thing. I have since put them on Chicken Grower (from a feed plant near by). I have a few questions. @Purina

1. How much niacin should I be adding to a chicken grower to make it adequate for ducks?

2. Do you have any recommendations as to how and what with to supplement the feed? ie brewers yeast etc.

3. When Drakes and Ducks are present what is the kind of food you would recommend for when the girls start laying. (They all eat the same food as well as free range and I have oyster shells out for the girls if needed)

4. Is there anything I could add to the Purina Duck Grower that may make it more palatable for them?

6. Is pelleted feed more processed (binder added) than crumbled feed? Or- is crumbled feed in essence pellet feed that has been crumbled?

7. What is the binder used in feed to keep it's shape?

Thank you.
