Hi! Need some advice???? Last year one of ducklings developed angel wing and I have read that protein is thought to be a factor with the developement and niacin should be added to the diet????? My question is how much do you use ???? Also I read that Brewer's Yeast contains niacin and can be used to supplement also.......again I am unsure how much and which one is the better choice????

I use the capsuls of Niacin found in the pharmacy dept of your local grocery or big dept store. I use half a capsule in 1 gallon of water.
I'm also giving them time in the yard and they are snacking on little bugs and things out there too.

I know nothing about how to use the brewers yeast.

100 mg tablet crushed in 1 gallon of water. Once a day. Don't use time release or "non flush" niacin

the angel wing is probably at least partially genetic. However, the primary cause is the weight of new wing feathers on weak baby wings. cut protein to slow feather growth and make sure the ducklings get exercise for their developing wings. Sunshine for vitamin D is also a big help in preventing.

I don't know how much brewers yeast to give, but I do know that brewers yeast, which used to be very cheap has gone way up in price.
