Hey community,
So my hen who had a wildly successful hatch last Fall ended up bringing 7 roosters into the world, which was a bit more rooster than expected to have to rehome, but here we are… learning….
They are 5mo and I am needing to rehome them urgently unfortunately, I am in a situation where I am unable to keep them, due to my housing/land share arrangement and space constraints.
I’m staying on someone elses property and the roosters are not allowed to stay longer, have to go this week.
These are healthy, nice, beautiful roosters. They have been well cared for and haven’t had any issues with people.
They are a bit hormonal and frustrated right now due to not having more space to range, and too few hens around… which is also causing some stress and issues for my hens. They have been sparring a little with each other but think this is due to space at times and hormones.
I know it can be difficult to find roosters homes but I’m hoping for some good luck, finding them homes with space to range, and hens to protect.
Or, maybe a nice bachelor flock situation they can join.
Not available for meat, or mistreatment.
I’m up against a deadline to have these roosters off the property very soon, so if anyone may be willing and interested to help give any of these boys a good home, please reach out asap!
Thank you!!!
Ps. I expected to have to rehome maybe a couple roosters after allowing my hen to go broody and hatch eggs, but 7 has been a shocker, and presented more challenges than expected. I’m new to chicken keeping, and learning… probably won’t ever hatch baby chicks again, at least not without a better land/living situation to be able to keep more roosters.
