Thanks for your kind wishes everyone. I forgot to let you know that we are in Melbourne Australia. Today is another hot one...43 degrees (third day in a row). The girls took the loss well. The two year old has the emotional capacity of a gold fish whilst the five year old is coping well. It is so hot that we all eat, sleep and live in the cool part ofthe house....we have what is commonly called in this house "Cabin Feaver"
Getting back to the four "departed" feathered friends, we did have loads of water available and they had free access to the back garden with plenty of shade. In the immortal words of Cher.."If i could turn back time.." I should have set up a light sprinkler so that they could soak themselves at will. Unfortunately we have severe watering restrictions here which only allows us to water twice a week for an hour using drippers.
We have had a lot of wildlife casualties as a result of this heat wave. Possums and parrots are really struggling to access water. My wife had a shower yesterday and went back to the bathroom ten minutes later to find a ring tailpossum drinking from the bath!
Can anyone help me with regards to attaching photos.
