When do Hens lay there egg at night or during the day?

Occasionally a hen will drop an egg from the perch at night, but 99.9% of eggs are laid during the day.

A hen laying eggs at night for me indicative of serious health issue. Such hens prone to produce small eggs or eggs lacking a proper shell.

i cover the nest when its a bout to get dark then open the cover about 1hr before sunrise the reason why im covering the nest at night is because i got some hens that wanna sleep in it

Are the roosting bars higher than the nests? Generally birds roost at the highest possible point. If that is the nest boxes, that is where they will try to sleep.
