I am a first time chicken owner and my chicks have only been in their big girl coop and run for 2 weeks now. It only took until night 3 for my little flock to figure out the routine and put themselves to roost in their house. I do a nightly head count and say "goodnight ladies," which is probably more for me then them. It is amazing how entertaining and addictive chickens are!!
