Hey, I'm Mickey. I've been a long time lurker, but finally made an account here. I've had chickens for two years now, and they're such interesting little animals. I started with twelve, but two were roosters, so they went to live on a farm a few miles away. We still see them when we're bringing the kids to school. We were down to ten. One was killed in an accident that taught the kids some much needed lessons about listening and obeying.
The nine we have left are fantastic. Every time I open the back door, I hear their little feet pounding the ground as they come running. They just follow me around the backyard no matter what it is I'm doing.
Glad to be part of a community that is also enthusiastic about chickens.
