Niocin

So my duck hatched a month ago. May13. He seems to have grown just fine with out any problems. While growing I noticed they would lay down a lot. Never thought anything of it. But I noticed the knots at the of his legs which made me worried and look into it and have come to the conclusion that it could be a niacin deficiency. He still seems to walk just fine. I don’t see much difficulty for them. But now that he’s an older duckling can this problem be fixed? Will it grow worse and if so what will be the outcome. Please help my little fella.

What breed, what are you feeding, and can you post some pictures of his legs?

They are Pekin ducks. Their diet mostly consists of a poultry mix feed. We also add in meal worms, egg yoke, egg shells, and occasional sardines. They also get their share of fruits as snacks such as watermelon strawberries and apples.

Okay, I think that has very little niacin in it.

Is the swelling in his joints soft or hard? Can you take a video of him walking, upload it to youtube or vimeo, then copy/paste the link here?

Can you start feeding them some Purina Flock Raiser or Nutrena All Flock?

How much does he weigh?
