Nipple waterer question

I have been reading on this topic all over your forums but have one question. I really like the qc supply nipples but there are several different types. Do any of you prefer, say the stainless one over the others???

I prefer the poly/stainless threaded ones. Poly/Stainless Steel 360 Degree Nipple

OK, one more question. Are the red drip catchers really necessary or really good to keep litter dry.

I use the push in style with the grommets and have never needed a drip cup. No mess at all!
