nite time coop

Hello all,
So I have put our girls in the coop every nite for the past 2 years. Now with the humid weather I would like to leave the ramp door open for a cross breeze. If I left the girls out, would they automatically go into the coop at nite to sleep. ? We have a light in the coop on a timer so it goes off at 10 pm. ? Any help would be great. Our run is all enclosed as well.

Assuming that your coop has direct access to the run, the run and coop are predator proof, and your chickens go into the coop on their own, I see no reason to close the pop door.
