Hey Everyone, as you may know from my previous thread one of my two four-year-old hens has passed away. I am looking into getting another hen so the one I have left is not lonely. I would love if you guys could answer the following questions for me. What are some reputable NJ breeders for hens? What age hen do you guys recommend I get due to the fact it may be difficult finding a four year old hen? Also, would it be smart to get two more hens or should I just stick with getting one more? Thank you all so much for reading. Best Wishes to All!

I would say that getting two more hens would be a good idea... for insurance... Sadly, I live on the other side of the US so I am unfamiliar with NJ breeders. I think the age is up to you... Younger hens adjust to new environments better than older hens though... and young hens will lay more. :D I hope you end up with some good companion gals! Best wishes. :)

Yes, get at least 2 hens. I will tag you on a thread that you might want to try asking in.
