NN/Turkin head really red is this normal?

My nn head is really red cold this be from cold or is this just normal for them?

It's normal and in your chick's case it's a sign it's probably a cockerel.

The redness is the same reaction seen on any chicken's face/combs, just much more "visible" on naked necked birds. Some people think it is sunburn(like on Henderson's chicken breed chart..) but it isn't.

Laying NN hens also get a really red face/combs.. again same thing, normal, happens on other breed hens too.. simply more visible.
