My girls (8 TSC pullets) are around 6 weeks old and don't seem to have much of a pecking order. There are some that get pushed away from food in the grass at times but nothing even remotely aggressive. Is this something that comes on as the get older? Or do they just get along really well?

It's a bit early. They really just start to establish one at that age. Even if it never becomes apparent to you, trust me, it's apparent to them.

And you know what, you may NEVER totally figure out pecking order. 8 months later, and I'm STILL not sure who's at the bottom, because everyone seems to be above at least one other hen. I do know the top dog (who is very discreet), and the 2nd in command (who can be a B), but that's about it. I remember posting about this very topic when my girls were younger, and just figured I'd figure it out when they matured...lol. Maybe yours will be more clear than mine...
