Ours "yard-range" in our backyard within their own areas contained (sort of) by movable fencing. The cat stalked them along the fence for a long time, and we always worried about what would happen if she could get to them.
Then one day I came home and found her in the chicken section, surrounded by chickens staring at her. She was scared witless. lol
She's a real toughie when there's a fence between her and her "prey."
