No crow collar for hen?

Hello everyone, so I'm a semi outlaw chicken owner, in my suburb area of SoCal we have a 3 hen in city limit law, so naturally I have 8. This isn't the problem, what is the problem is that my out of my 8 girls the 2 barnevelders have the LOUDEST egg song I have ever heard, worst of all they do it all day long whether or not they've layed. Like I said I am in city limits and houses are a little close, I am considerate of the neighbors and don't want to bother them with the chickens. When the egg song goes off at 5am it wakes me up and I don't want it to wake them, they're nice people. Instead of getting rid of the two problem girls has any tried using a no crow rooster collar to quite the egg song ?

I believe the no crow collars work by strangling the rooster when his head stretches out in the crow position, a hen can cackle without raising her head so I don't think it will work.

I've heard they work my limiting the amount of air that can move through the throat at a given time. But I'm not sure

Can you make changes to the coop so it stays dark till you open it up? At least if they think it's still night they may be less inclined to sing so early

I've already done this and they just like being loud, they just wake up and are ready to scream

Give the nieghbors some eggs as a peace offering and ask them to let you know if it gets to a point is bothering then to much...
