I have two BO roosters, both are 13 weeks. Neither has crowed but one of them, P Diddy, honks. He literally sounds like a goose. He does it as a greeting but also as a "MINE!" Both instances deal with food, since I am nothing but the bringer of food.
BIG Al has become a more secondary roo and when they fight he always says "Uncle". He is also the smaller.
Is it normal for roos this age not to crow- what about honking?

P Diddy and Big Al are such cute names!

I have a little bantam chick that is 2 weeks old named Miracle that was trying to crow this morning! It was so adorable and sounded more like "Per-rahh!" I wouldn't worry about P Diddy and Big Al's honking, they'll start crowing when they get ready. Some chickens just take longer than others.

I have two hens that honk when they're hot. I keep telling them they're chickens, not ducks or geese.
