No eggs...again...

My hens have a very soft, moist, slimy, and light green stool! They start laying in the spring and fall but anytime during the summer or winter (no matter the weather) they wont lay eggs! They are all over a year old and they have a rooster. There is a sheet put up so they can hide from the dogs and they free range AFTER they eat their calcium feed...please help me! My parents are talking about getting rid of them.... :'(
 
I am not an expert-- but it sounds like they are missing something in their diet.

There is a poo page on this site somewhere, that shows all different poo's and what the problem is. See if you can find it and compare.
 
that's very strange. my birds lay a lot in spring . I know if they get very hot in summer it can interfere with the egg production. also diet like above post says. as for the poo you can look up what is normal for chicken poo and it should bring you to the poo page. hopefully this helps. good luck and I hope you get to keep your birds!
