I have 10 laying hens and they usually lay by at least 10:00 in the morning at the latest. I checked today and nothing. So, I went back, it is now noon, and still no eggs whatsoever! What is going on? They have been laying all year up until now. No predators to speak of and they are in a protected closed run.

Heat can cause them to slow down
I know heat is definitely causing my 10 girls to have egg laying issues. The temperatures here in middle Georgia have been 100 (or higher) over the last two weeks--and no rain until yesterday. I am seeing a huge drop in production. Also, I have had a body checked egg, misshappen eggs, a completely shell-less egg, super thin-shell egg, and now I have (what I believe is going to be) a fairy egg. My poor girls! They are on layer feed and I also offer oyster shell on the side. But I think they just aren't eating much because of the heat.

Is it hot? Ages? Diet?
Chickens lay cycle can very between 26 hours to every other day or longer, they might have hit an off day together.
Nothing to be concerned about.
It has been hot up to 102 but 81 today. Ages...18 mo & 2 1/2 years. No changes in diet.
Have never had this happen before. Usually get on average 6 eggs per day.
I guess see what tomorrow brings.
Thank you!

That makes sense. Same here.
Feather loss with mine & one giving consistently thin shells. It's a race to find before the others eat it. 🤦

I’m with ya! I’m in West Georgia and we’ve had the same! Forecast for rain all next week though! Fingers crossed!
