No eggs

18 mos Amercauna. Not laying For a week now. Lively eating drinking all normal sits in nesting box but no eggs. Is it molt time? Some feathers around but nothing noticeable on her. No other changes.
do they continue to sit in nesting box during molt?

How’s your weather there? Our flock has started putting themselves up an hour earlier because it gets darker sooner and stopped laying as a result. Which is normal.

Well Ontario Canada not drastically shorter days yet. One other hen and all normal eggs w her.

Hmmmm. Since she seems healthy I honestly have no idea. :/ I’m sorry. All but one of my hens has stopped laying and were only getting about an hour less of daylight now. Hoping someone comes along with a better idea. ( I do believe they need at least 12 hours of daylight to lay....)

She could be molting. How often does she sit in the nest box?

Could be molting or could be slacking off due to weather

Add some light they will lay in no time 14 hours a day to start laying 16 for max output they stop at 12-13 hours per day

Every thing is controlled by the amount of light that enters their eyes . It triggers the hormones that induce laying .
