I have a flock of 10 hens and 2 roosters all 2 years old. Last year I got so many eggs I started giving them away. This year (starting in March of 2022) I've gotten 12 eggs. Flock is free range on 5 acres, spoiled rotten with farm scraps and de-wormed monthly using diatomaceous earth. They are healthy, happy but not laying. This week I pinned them into the barn thinking they were hiding eggs (even though I've hunted everywhere), but still nothing. My friend in the next town over is having the same issue. Any ideas? No unusual weather here in TN or other stressors I can see.

This is molting season for most chickens in the northern hemisphere. When the days get shorter, nature triggers the birds to start molt so they will have a nice new feather coat come winter. Hens will either stop, or drastically slow down laying, during molt. Once molt is over, they'll lay at about half the rate they did before.
It's a sad fact of older hens. Only you can decide if you'll keep them through retirement and add new layers for your egg supply, or replace them.
Beware chicken math!

What breed are they?
Are they 24 months old right now, or....?
