no luck except bad! 3 dead chicks!

i went to visit my mom in fla for a week, first time in 3 yrs and left dh in charge of the animals...... i guess i learned not to do that. he was so careful but tragedy struck anyway! 3/4 of my new baby cochins died. i only have 1 left. i am so upset

. i was in love with how cute they were and the fact that they were the first chicks i ever had hatch out of i dunno how many tries. i just cant seem to win. the survivor (named pepsi) will probably be male on top of it.

i dont know as he has no chicken sense just a feed and water kinda thing. he also wouldnt have known if they were acting strangely or not. he buried them for me b4 i returned home, so i couldnt even see if i could tell. it was not a predator as they were not allowed out while i was away and coop is secured. all other chickens were fine....
